Navigating two worlds alone is confusing, lonely, and difficult. 

Coming on a plane to Canada at three years old, I’ve had my fair share of mimicking others for social survival. Survival in a new world where the movies, toys, and playground kids all consider me “different” just because I don’t look like them... As if we don’t carry the same DNA. As if I somehow am less human.
